Why am I here at MOPO?

My first interaction with MOPO was in late 2018, when I met Jono West at an event in London. I then spent an afternoon in January 2019 with Jono, Chris and Luke at the old MOPO office in Sheffield.  The office was about 14°C, filled with wires, circuit boards, battery components, tools, etc.  We agreed that I would do a consulting project around financial planning and reporting.  At the time, I was keen to do this project, as I was intrigued by the cleverness of the battery rental model (still largely unproven back then), and very impressed by the quality and commitment of the team.  

How time flies! Six years on, here we are at MOPO today.  We have more than proven that the battery rental model works really well, built a significant business in multiple countries, attracted funding from diverse sources, etc, etc.  The achievements are too numerous to mention.  My initial motivations about MOPO still stand.  However, what I value today above all is the total dedication and passion of all MOPO colleagues.  All of you have a “can-do”, problem solving attitude, making things happen today and without delay, and always looking to help each other, including across three continents and multiple locations.  No matter where you are, we are all pulling in the same direction with the same commitment to excellence.   This culture makes MOPO unique and highly successful.  I am proud and grateful to be part of such an organisation!
